INTRODUCTION TO JOIN IN AND BY THE CABIN CRUISES

WHY DO JOIN IN AND BY THE CABIN CHARTERS

It is a great way to experience big catamaran sailing without the costs of chartering the whole boat yourself. There are a lot of advantages for singles, couples and small groups to take a join in or by the cabin charter / share boat charter.

  • One of the main benefits apart from the financial benefits is that you are travelling with experienced crew that have chartered in their locations for many years.
  • You get to meet and make new friends.
  • It is often safer to travel in a group rather than singularly
  • You get to see more on your trip with your knowledgeable skippers.
  • In most cases the join in prices are all inclusive but for meals ashore and national parks fees. So there are no financially related surprises along the way. Much easier to budget for.
  • A big advantage of chartering with a smaller outfit is that we're usually able to make enough personal contact with each of our guests to match their compatibility with others in the group. We're not perfect at this, but we do try dam hard to get it right!
  • Mostly Singles trips tend to attract active, adventurous and sociable characters. The group dynamics are usually very strong - when travelling solo we find people make more of an effort to get to know each other. With the team spirit that boat life creates, the laid-back, atmosphere of the islands, people get to know each other real fast - many folks go home with close friendships. Some get together later and form up new groups and come back and try out other itineraries such as Myanmar/ Mergui Archipelago after they have had a Phuket adventure with us
  • If the bookings are high for a specific scheduled trip we can often add another catamaran or two, to cope with extra numbers and build a flotilla which can be quite interesting.
  • How long do we sail for each day? Well the average would be around 3-4 hours which leaves a lot of time for activities ashore, beach walks, snorkelling, kayaking, shopping on the populated islands, even a massage ashore.
  • It's often hard to get your friends coordinated for a group holiday together. Most of the time impossible. So let us find new friends for you, where we do all the leg work. We try our best to recommend charters where the join in guest have similar goals
  • Having to join in with the group's activities isn't compulsory. Sure you can go off for a romantic walk on your own on a secluded beach or enjoy a private dinner for two ashore. On the other hand you have an opportunity to join in with the group if you please. Best of both worlds
